CHRISTMAS CHEER FOR CHILDREN 2009
Fundraising is underway for our 2009 Christmas Cheer Project. We have collected $1,930 so far. Dontations are provided to the Morongo Valley Elementary School who shops for children in need. Gifts will be delivered by Santa Claus with help from the Morongo Valley Fire Department on December 18, 2009. We appreciate your monetary donations or contribution of unwrapped gifts to the CSD, Fire Department, or Golden State Water District.
The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the Hummingbird Moon Lodge for taking over the Citizen of the Month election duties. CHAMBER MEETINGS
The Chamber meets the second Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. Each quarter we have an evening mixer in place of our normal meeting. Our next mixer will be held on March 9, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at Covington Park and will be a St. Patrick's Day dinner. Our last year's version was a huge success and Tish Miller has graciously agreed to cook the corned beef and cabbage for us.
Flag Volunteers Needed
Everyone loves to see our American flags along Highway 62 on holidays, and volunteers are urgently need to place the flags in the morning and remove them at dusk. If you would like to contribute your time, please contact the CSD office at 760-363-6454.
'Bring Your Favorite Cookie' Mixer
The Chamber would like to thank Allison Gaunder and the Morongo Cafe for a wonderful mixer held on December 8th at the Cafe. We definitely have some amazing bakers in town and Allison's apple cider and hospitality was terrific. If you have not seen the new menu items, it is high time for you to eat at the Cafe!
